Today we started into our first day of the NATUGEL 2024 Workshop on applications of hydrogels in tissue engineering. After some opening words from our institute's head Prof. Glasmacher Sara Leal-Marin and Alex Lopero started with a recap of the last year's results on CryoNano 2023, our workshop on cryopreservation and nanoparticles. Followed by that the participants got informed about different applications for hydrogels in tissue engineering by Gloria Gallego Ferrer, Christina Winkler, Oleksandra Hubenia and a workshop about scientific communication by Nicolas Rivoallan. The second session continued with some insights into magnetic hydrogels by Juan Vaca and Tom Bode. As a contrast programm to the scientific expertise the participants finished their day with a guided tour to get in touch with the historic city of Hannover.
