Students Gain First-Hand Industry Experience During Excursion to Hubert Stüken GmbH & Co. KG
Students from the Institute for Multiphase Processes visited Hubert Stüken GmbH & Co. KG in Rinteln, a manufacturer of precision deep-drawn metal components, as part of Dr-Ing. Brunotte Ricarda's lecture programme.
Staff at the plant walked the group through production, from the initial deep-drawing stages through to final quality checks. The visit's centrepiece was a hands-on exercise: students were handed finished components and asked to judge, on their own, whether each one met specifications. For most, it was the first time they had to apply tolerance and quality standards to a physical part rather than a textbook problem.
